GENERAL DEFINITION OF WORK:
Under supervision, provide full customer service support by proficiently handling member inquiries and purchases around the concessions area. Functions as the first impression for all members and guests requiring an outgoing, upbeat personality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Initiate, develop and maintain positive relationships with all members and guests.
Responsible for opening and closing the outdoor Concession area to include turning on/off lights, all food prepping machines and locking the door/windows at the end of each shift.
Responsible for opening and shutting down the POS systems, retrieving and depositing cash into the safe.
Clean and maintain a safe and tidy workspace for the duration of the shift to include wiping down counters, cleaning spills, sweeping and mopping the concessions area daily, and emptying trash and discard products at the end of the shift
Perform point-of sale transactions for concession services and retail produces
Efficiently handle cash, gift cards, and credit card transactions
Reconcile cash drawer after each shift and report any discrepancies and report end-of shift- reconciliation to the business office.
Inventory and restock concession products
Communicate to management changes in inventoried items or that are low in stock
Prepare and submit a weekly spreadsheet of inventory and supply items for purchasing
Perform a daily restock of items to prepare for the upcoming shift
Ensure food products are kept and stored at the appropriate temperature to prevent items from expiring or perish
Organize the condiment and supply station for customers to use
Articulate extensive knowledge of the concession services, products, policies, rules and regulations.
Must be punctual and timely in meeting all job performance requirements, including but not limited to, attendance and tardiness standards and work deadlines.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent cleaning and organization skills
Knowledge of concession services, programs and facility rules and regulations.
Knowledge of basic sales techniques.
Knowledge of POS software and policies and procedures for handling cash
Knowledge of food prep guidelines
Ability to work independently
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
Ability to solve practical problems
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to sell all concession products using a POS system
Ability to balance the cash register and reconcile cash at the end of each shift
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to demonstrate positive attitude and professionalism to internal and external customers at all times.
Ability to multi-task and learn quickly, and remain resilient in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to enforce rules and regulations firmly and tactfully.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to work hours that meet the general needs of the concessions area.
Physical ability to perform essential job duties.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School graduate diploma or general education degree and two years customer service experience; or any combination of education, training, and experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform essential job functions.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: CPR/AED Certified or ability to obtain.
WORKING CONDITIONS:Work takes place in a busy outdoor recreational environment from mid May to early September. Work involves face-to-face interaction with customers and daily food preparation. Must be able to multitask and answer frequently asked questions. Shifts are Sunday - Saturday between the hours of 11-7 pm.
